Background photo is not appearing on site

My background photo is editable and visible when customizing then when I “save and publish” it disappears and my site background is blank. This is a photo that I have taken, edited and saved through Photoshop – I can’t think of anything else it could be. Is there something I am doing wrong in saving it through Photoshop?

Hrm. I don’t see anything in the code about a background image for the <body> tag. Are you sure you set the image correctly? Here’s a screenshot of where the background image is set.

I have the same problem. there is def a tech issue here. at CreativeJamie.com, i have a gray image currently saved, but when you go to the site you’ll see a picture of a sign and a tree as the background.

I think what I’m looking for are the dimensions required for the background image. It worked at first with a different image but now wont work with either.

i just can’t get the background feature to work
at customize.php. i delete the image, save and go check the site and it’s still there. I delete and then replace the image, save and go check the site and it’s still there.
background customizer at customize.php clearly has a tech issue. -

You are using a different theme than the person who commenced this thread. Use the add a new topic link please and specify your theme when you create your own thread. -
I will do that, but the issue is not theme specific – the problem is at customize.php file. Also, the instructions at https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/custom-backgrounds/#setting-a-background-image
do not match what is live at customize.php -
@bomberbanter from your customizer, click CSS > Exit Preview. Then see if you can update the background.
