Background picture

I have added a background picture to the back of my Licorice themed blog. It shows up under the “customize” bar, but when I view the regular blog it’s not there. Please help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The site you have linked to is using “Book Lite.” Please give us a link to the site you need help with, starting with http:// to make it clickable.

Hi Jennifer. I already went ahead and used a different format, but I’m goibg to want to use a background picture for future formatts. I tried changing the background picture both from the main word press page under “Appearance” and from the blog page itself under “Customize”. The picture seems to appear fine, but then I check the blog via address and it doesnt show up. I tried using a dozen different themes and it is all the same, except for one, the Book Lite theme that I am currently using (but I dont have a background picture up because it doesnt go well with this particular theme) ….
Do you have any idea as to what the general problem is?

If you are expecting the background image http://rosyrenegade88.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/cropped-keeper-of-the-flame7.jpg to appear behind the text in posts and pages then that is not the way this theme is designed. The theme is designed to display a white background behind text in posts and pages. Your image does not appear there.

No, that isnt what I meant. I know that the picture I have posted is a Header. Im talking about a background photo that is not working with different themes I was trying, not my current theme. For example, the themes “Liquorice” and “My Life” show the background photo perfectly on the customize page, but not on the actual page.

I posted a Background image not a header image at > Appearance > Background in my test blog using the Book Lite theme, prior to responding to this thread.
