    I’m trying to change the white blog portion to black and the text within the blog to white. I’ve tried a couple different codes but so far no luck.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi Nick, to change the background color to black, there are three places the color has to be changed. Add the following CSS to change all the white to black.

    body.custom-background {
        background-color: #000000;
    }
    .site {
        background-color: #000000;
    }
    .site-content .entry-content, .site-content .entry-header, .site-content .entry-summary, .page-content {
        background-color: #000000;
    }

    Thanks! That worked great. What is the code to change all text to white?

    The following should catch most of the text and make it white.

    body, button, input, select, textarea {
        color: #FFFFFF;
    }
    .site-title a, .site-title a:hover, .primary-navigation .menu-item-has-children a:after, .primary-navigation .page_item_has_children a:after, .secondary-navigation .menu-item-has-children > a:after, .site-navigation a, .page-links a, .page-links a:hover, .content-sidebar .widget_twentyfourteen_ephemera .widget-title:before, .primary-sidebar .widget a, .primary-sidebar .widget blockquote cite, .primary-sidebar .widget-title, .primary-sidebar .widget-title a, .primary-sidebar .widget_calendar caption, .primary-sidebar .widget_calendar tbody a, .primary-sidebar .widget_flickr #flickr_badge_uber_wrapper a:link, .primary-sidebar .widget_flickr #flickr_badge_uber_wrapper a:active, .primary-sidebar .widget_flickr #flickr_badge_uber_wrapper a:visited, .primary-sidebar.widget-area .milestone-countdown, .primary-sidebar.widget-area .milestone-header, .footer-sidebar .widget a, .footer-sidebar .widget blockquote cite, .footer-sidebar .widget-title, .footer-sidebar .widget-title a, .footer-sidebar .widget_calendar caption, .footer-sidebar .widget_calendar tbody a, .footer-sidebar .widget_flickr #flickr_badge_uber_wrapper a:link, .footer-sidebar .widget_flickr #flickr_badge_uber_wrapper a:active, .footer-sidebar .widget_flickr #flickr_badge_uber_wrapper a:visited, .footer-sidebar.widget-area .milestone-countdown, .footer-sidebar.widget-area .milestone-header {

    The site is starting to look really good! Thanks for all your help. Is there any way to make the video larger on the primary page?

    Hi Nick,

    You can specify the width and height of the embedded video by adding &w=… or &w=…&h=…to the shortcode. It will automatically adapt to your theme’s content length and give you preferred dimensions. An example can be seen here:

    [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaNH56Vpg-A&w=640&h=385]

    Let me know if that works!
