background processing
-
Hi, I currently use Square for payments on my ecommerce site, due to the website and a bricks and mortar shop pulling from the same stock with WooCommerce being the system of record.
I’ve had an alert come up saying
‘WooCommerce Square: It looks like your site does not support background processing, which means large numbers of products may not sync successfully with Square. Read more here on how to resolve this.’
Normally the person that built my website would look at this but he is a bit busy at the moment so thought I would have a go at sorting this out myself, but I have no idea what I need to do?
I can see that items are not syncing with Square, which means constant manual adjustments via the website if I sell one of those products in the bricks and mortar shop. Can anyone please advise how I set up the ‘background processing’ please?
Please bare in mind I will need an idiot guide.Thank you

Hi there,
If you have WooCommerce installed on a WordPress.com Business Plan or have a paid WooCommerce extension on a self-hosted site you can open a ticket while logged into your account at:
https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/
But, if your site is self-hosted and built using the WordPress.org open software, you’ll need to seek assistance from their forums which can be found at:
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce
These forums are for WordPress.com hosted websites. If you want to know the difference between the two, you can find more information in this document:
