background width

The bakersville preview shows what appears to be several blocks on monocular background that utilize nearly the full width of the screen. My blocks are on a background with different color than true background that don’t go to full width. How can I make it look more like the preview? Use full width of screen?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

Are you referring to the Baskerville theme, and demo? Or the Baskerville 2 theme and demo?

It looks like the selected page template on your homepage is either the default or the no sidebar template. The optional templates available on Baskerville 2 are the following:

    • Default
    • Contributors
    • Full Width, No Sidebar
    • No Sidebar

See the Template section of the Page Attributes support page for more information on optional page templates, and an illustration depicting how to select a page template on a page, on themes that have optional page templates.

The theme name Baskerville 2 above should have been linked to the theme overview, https://wordpress.com/theme/baskerville-2, not to the demo. Sorry about that.

I’m still not sure what you mean by “preview,” but if you’re referring to the homepage of the Baskerville 2 demo, then it is set to display the latest posts. The blog page or posts page displays the latest posts in a grid because that’s how the theme is designed to display them on the posts page, with narrow margins on each side, and no sidebar widget area.
