Are you referring to the picture underneath the header picture? To change this, log in to WordPress.com, click My Sites in the upper left corner and make sure you’re on the right site if you have many. In the menu to the left, click on the Customize button next to the Themes link. Click on Colors & Backgrounds. This is where you set the background picture.
If you want several background images, one for each page, the Lodestar theme does not seem to offer this feature unfortunately.
A small tip: once inside this area, hover your mouse over your background picture and a small Change link will appear. Click this. Notice that underneath the picture, there’s a link for Options. Click this, and enable the Fixed position for your image. This way, the image will stay still when you scroll, so it doesn’t keep un repeating. Also, choose a picture with enough resolution if you want it to fill up the entire area.
Let me know if you need more help with this!
