Backgrounds
-
Hi! On my pages, the white (where my paragraph blocks are) do not go across the entirety of the page; there is too much background shown on all of my pages. How do I fix this problem?

Hi there!
What exactly are you referring to? Could you send us a screenshot? You can use an online tool for that (such as https://snipboard.io/), or follow the instructions described here:

I am going to try to paste the screenshot here. My problem is that there is too much purple on the side of the website, and I do not know how to fix it. Thank you for your help! :)

Hi there,
That purple on the sides is your theme’s background. The white box inside the purple is your site’s content area. This is how the theme was designed, and there’s no way to remove that background area. You can only change the color of the background area at My Site ->Design ->Customize ->Colors and Backgrounds.
When you use the full-width setting on a block, like you’re doing with the Cover block at the top of your Home page, the block will extend past the edges of the content area, all the way to the edges of the screen instead. The here problem is that your theme was designed long before the block editor existed, and isn’t built to accommodate full-width content like that.
So the only ways to “fix” this, is either to not use the full-width setting on any block – that way all content will stay inside your site’s content area – or switch to a newer theme that doesn’t have separate background and content areas defined, like our newer block-based themes (the first set of themes you’ll see if you go to My Site ->Design ->Themes). With the block-based themes you’ll then create a site background by adding all your content inside cover blocks, and add background colors or images to those blocks instead.
