Backing up my blog

    Do I need to back up my blog or do you do that for me? I recently tried to back up my blog with Vault Press since at a blogging workshop I took they said backing up your blog is important. However when I contacted Vault Press they said you automatically will back up my Word Press blog and there is no need for me to pay them to do that. Is that correct?

    Hi there,

    Yes, that is correct. We back up all blogs on WordPress.com against any sort of catastrophic failure, virus attack, etc. We do not provide backups however in cases where users delete posts or pages when they didn’t mean to (however we do have a trash folder, so they would have to trash them and then remove them from the trash, so it’s rarely ever a proper “mistake”).
