Backup and Import
-
Akik, submit a feedback. It appears to be a bug. That’s the quickest method of getting someone to take a look at this.

Thank you drmike!
Yes, i did submit a feedback before i posted the message here… no reply yet. =_= -
I did import all my blogger posts, and so far a spot check reveals the inport function worked just fine, except for dropping all the code to embed media files :-(
Alas! I only rand across this
…after doing the import. If I had known about it before, I’d have tried to include my Haloscan comments (over 1,600) in my port. The page says it only works if you export the Haloscan comments BEFORE importing Blogger posts.
May still try it down the road…

akjk: Go to your Blogger options and change the encoding back to Big5, then restore your template from the backup you made.
Then change your blogspot subdomain, something alphanumeric. Then try the importer again. -
andy: Thank you for your suggestion.
Yes, i reset the encoding of all posts to Big5 and set the blogspot subdomain to something alphanumeric.
Tried the importer again.
The blogspot blog is okay now, same as original. :DBut it isn’t the end of the story…
For the posts & comments (imported) encoded in Big5, they became garbage in WordPress blog…This is pretty interesting. The importer seems to handle language differently in different sections.
Thanks.
