Backup for site before i change theme

    none of the backup plugins works on my current free site anymore . Will any backup plugins work on my free site, if not can i upgrade to the personal use one for 4 bucks a month? i keep getting pushed to the business plan which I dont want.

    Thanks for reaching out.

    In order to run a back up plugin, the business plan would indeed need to be in place. That said, I can see that the premium plan was in place, so these plugins weren’t in use here at WordPress.com.

    That said, changing themes would not affect the site content if you choose to keep the content in place.

    It sounds like you’re starting a fresh, and a domain is being connected. In order to set a primary custom domain, the site would need a personal plan at a minimum.

    What is your site going to be about exactly, and what do you want to do with it exactly? I could probably offer some advice on how to do that, with minimum of fuss.
