backup – posts and media files
-
Hi
I have found a lot of questions about backups, and most of the replies talk about the “tools->export->export” way of backing up.
The thing I want is to do is to include the media files also.
There are a lot of suggestion online about using plugins, but plugins do not appear to be an option on wordpress.com.
How do I save my posts and media files?

If the media files are hosted here then they will be part of the export. If you’re just embedding media hosted elsewhere, then you will have to download that separately. Of course, many sites like YouTube don’t authorize you to download and store their content.

The export function gives an xml file with all the posts. I don’t see an option for incluging the media files in the xml.
Looking into the xml, I see that the media files are refered to on http://moozing.files.wordpress.com.
So the question could be if there is a way of bulk downloading and uploading to this location./moz
