backupify.com?

    someone sent me a link of a website that backs up your whole accounts, including entire blogs. supposedly, in case the site crashes or someone hacks into your account, having it backed up at backupify.com will ensure we don’t lose any content. is this a good idea? it’s supposed to be free until jan 31. is the threat of losing everything to hackers real? is this website reliable?

    The threat of losing everything to hackers with a WP.com blog is theoretically real, but in four years I’ve never heard of it happening. People DO stupidly set near-strangers and untrustworthy people as admins and those people have been known to delete blogs, but that’s not hacking; that’s deception.
