Bad decision to join wordpress but…

Since I paid now I will keep for a year then I will move it elsewhere.

I just needed a simple , very simple landing page. I only discovered after that for all features you need upgrade plans , something really not well clarified in the fraudolent publicity on site.

Then I would kindly like to ask how do I do to disable recurring payment without beeing downgraded to freebie level ?

I also would like to know how to transfer the domain name I got and be able to move it next year to another better hosting website.

I mean even support is only available if you pay wich is absurd, what kind of service hides support behind a paywall.

    Thankyou

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I even tried to edit this topic and apparently I am not allowed to , another great plus to the service… I also Would like to ask if is possible to have a refund as I have no idea how to contact support eventually since to contact I need to upgrade to a superior profile.

You can manage your purchases yourself as described at https://wordpress.com/support/manage-purchases/

However you don’t need to cancel your previous purchases, you can simply upgrade and all previous purchases will be taken in count.

Another hosting provider may look cheaper or more interesting, but take in count you have to take care of updated, upgrades and security yourself. Over here on the wordpress.com platform you don’t have to worry about those things.

I understand, but I would like to ask the following:

1 if I block renewal of the payment , will also the website go down and so the purchased plan , domain name etc be nullified and invalid or will last for the rest of the year?

2 if I go refunding way instead how can I do to shift eventually the website domain name to another host? Its instantaneous, its delayed ? Is possible ? etc…

    1. your site and domain will last till the enddate of your plan
    2. if you want to transfer your domain certainly don’t go for a refund as chances are high you loose your custom domain – https://wordpress.com/support/domains/#move-my-domain

I think to disable recurring payments on WordPress, log in to your account, go to “Plans” or “Billing,” and disable auto-renewal. For domain transfer, unlock the domain and obtain an authorization code. Choose a new hosting provider, initiate the transfer, and enter the code during the process. Contact support if needed.

I would like to contact the support but its locked behind a 300 Euros paywall , which is the first time I see such a politic for a company don’t give support to your product unless they pay more .

Support isn’t locked behind a 300 eur paywall. You are getting support in this forum.

You must be referring to the live chat — as you may have seen already (in the first link I shared above), live chat is available for sites with annual Explorer (Mon-Fri) and Creator & Entrepreneur plans (24/7).

Your current plan (Starter) can get help on the Forums (here) and via email. All these are available from the Support Center.

    I hope this helps!
