Bad link on site
-
Site Stats tells me that someone clicked a link on my site. I don’t recognise the link, nor can I find it anywhere on my site.
Google’s Safe Browsing Diagnostic shows that the link points to a site that hosts malware.
Can anyone tell me how to find this link so that I can eliminate it; or explain what’s going on?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please do not post the link in question so no one is tempted to click it. Report it to Staff using this link > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
Also note that if you have not disabled “possibly related links” here > Dashboard > Apearance > Extras the link clicked could have been among those.
___ Hide related links on this blog, which means this blog won’t show up on other blogs or get traffic that wayAlso note that WordPress.com does run advertising on our blogs so I suppose it’s possible that the link could have been an advertising link.

Thank you. I have now found the link in my WordPress spam folder (but still not on the site).
Could the ‘spammer’ check the link from the comment box even if I haven’t approved the comment? And if this were done, would it register in the Site Stats as a link clicked by a visitor?

No spam can every be posted to your blog if you use comment moderation. You set that up here > Settings > Discussion
If your comments are not moderated and the comment in question was automatically posted then it’s possible that someone clicked that link.
If the comments are moderated then and you found it in the spam filter then only you could have clicked that link.

It’s possible the spammer could indeed have clicked the link; when he goes to the site, if it’s in Moderation, he’ll see his comment with that notation “In Moderation” but he could click on it. Nobody else can except him and you.

Timethief and Raincoaster, thank you both very much. Two slightly different responses, but I’m going to go with the ‘self-clicked while in moderation’ suggestion. The timing is right; I can’t find it on the site proper, and I’m really very careful about what links I allow. Thank you.
