Bad Request Errors — Help Wanted

  • Over the past couple weeks, we have received reports of “Bad Request” errors being returned when requesting various pages on WordPress.com blogs. These errors are actually not being returned by WordPress, but by Akamai, a company we use to accelerate/cache the content on WordPress.com so you folks get it quickly. These errors always contain a reference number. In order to track down the problem, Akamai has asked that we provide them with as many reference numbers as possible so they can identify a trend by searching through their logs.

For those who receive the error (unfortunately, I can’t replicate it), can you please reply to this thread with only the following information:

    1. The domain (blog) you were trying to visit at the time (i.e. barry.wordpress.com)

    2. The reference number on the error page (i.e. #7.ee0300cc.1184567375.0)

Thanks in advance to all who reply and hopefully, with your help, we will be able to get this fixed soon!

Thanks katm! If anyone else is having these problems, please report so Barry can get a proper fix for this! Keep the specific examples coming!

  • From the lack of response, I guess this is a non-issue. Closing this thread.
