Bad Start

    I already feel like I’m getting scammed with WordPress. I have a domain already, I bought a year, I picked a simple free theme and launched. WP says I cant use my theme colors without paying and theres ‘.wordpress.com’ attached to my website. What am I doing wrong here because as I understood it, I paid a year and that shouldn’t attach anything to my domain name. The colors, whatever, keep your black and white for additional charge BS.

    Hi there,

    kidnappedsendhelp.com is your GoDaddy domain, yes? I see it’s still connected to the site you have hosted there, which is why it’s not able to be used as the address for your WordPress.com site.

    To do that there are a few settings that you will need to change at GoDaddy, where your domain is registered.

    To do that contact GoDaddy support and ask their help in changing your domain “nameservers” to the following:

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    Once they have updated your settings for you let us know and we can finish the steps here to set your site to that address. Thanks!
