Badge and Banner Images and the move from http to https

  I uploaded and included a CC badge not only in the text widget on my site’s sidebar, but also in a number of image descriptions which appear in Carousels or Attachment pages.

  The other day I noticed that the text widget was displaying a broken image icon (only lately, perhaps after switching themes) rather than the CC badge and in order to fix it I had to change the src from http to https.

  While I’ve updated the text widget, I honestly don’t remember how many image descriptions I’ve added the CC badge to. Is there a less painful way that this can be updated behind the scenes or am I looking at scrolling through my Media Library (500 images +/-) and editing each and every image description where the CC badge has been inserted?
