Balasana & Portfolio projects

Hi there,
I have recently moved to Balasana theme and I’m pretty happy with it so far, just one thing is puzzling me: how can I make a Portfolio page there? I have a bunch of projects marked as Portfolio and not Pages, which in my previous theme were nicely put together in a mosaic/gallery style, but I don’t see this option here. Is this option not supported by the theme or am I missing something?

The portfolio feature may be enabled at My Site(s) > Manage > Settings > Writing > Content Types. You can set the number of projects per page there as well. The feature is evidently already enabled on your site because here is your portfolio archive page is displayed here: https://kozawska.com/portfolio/.

How the portfolio displays on the portfolio archive page is entirely theme dependent. You’ll most likely get a better look on any of the Portfolio themes, which typically also include an optional portfolio page template.
However, you may display projects in a grid pattern of the Balasana theme by inserting portfolio shortcode into a page. Then you may provide a link to that page in a custom menu.
If you choose to try portfolio shortcode on Balasana, then to display an orderly grid of projects without meta data and content included, you might want to try something like the following shortcode:
[portfolio columns=3 display_types=false display_tags=false display_content=false] -
Thank you for your kind reply, it exists indeed and can be modified with code, although I think at this moment the easiest for me will be building a grid of images with links using columns. Result will be similar and I don’t need to change the theme.
