  My theme has spotted a Spam post and has blocked it from being published. Ive looked at the comment and the user basicly has used short phrases of swearing words and this user has done it before and im wondering,

  Is there actually a way to IP ban some one from Viewing your blog?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can comment Blacklist but when you do that remember that anyone can get a new IP in not time flat. In other words it will not deter an troll who is committed to harassing you. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-blacklist

  Personally, I don’t blacklist all cuss words, because what if somebody wanted to talk about Moby Dick? Or Emily Dickinson? Blacklisting includes all words that have that word in it, so if you commented about Emily Dickinson, your comment would be blacklisted (if dick is a black-listed word.) Of course some words, that I won’t mention, are definately good blacklist words. Others just put on the moderation list above it. :)
