banned blogs

Is there a ban in Turkey for Greek blogs? I have someone there trying to access my blog and getting this message
Access to this site has been suspended in accordance with decision no: 2007/195 of T.C. Fatih 2. Civil Court of First Instance.

Yes, wordpress.com is blocked in Turkey, though the guys at wordprexy have set up a mirror so that Turkish users can still read the blogs (though they can’t comment on them).

maybe this is a bit OT, but i’d rather not start a new thread for this “issue”!
if the turkish govt is powerful and unreasonable enough to block wordpress due to some issues, how come thay can’t eliminate wordprexy? i mean, it is essentially just wordperss, so how come the turkish govt doesn’t have issues there?????????
any idea anyone?

Hi Anna, I had a similar problem last week. When a visitor told me this, I originally thought he meant my journal was banned by court decision. I kept thinking…what did I do wrong? lol As the above members have explained, it turns out Turkey has prevented their residents from visiting wordpress, and I believe youtube as well.
