  so the technique that i was supposed to use to get rid of the gay flag didn’t work is there anyone that know how to permanently remove that banner? I need to use my wordpress for my classes, and seeing changes that I didn’t make dose not make me happy with wordpress at this moment. so if anyone can help me take it down permanently please do let me know.

  Yes there is, they want us to keep quiet and not discuss their imposition on us and wait until they feel like removing it. You could send you complaints to these emails support@wordpress.com,
  help@wordpress.com

  This is pretty bold of WP to assume we all want the banner. I can see it as an option, like the snowflakes in winter, or a special gay pride icon widget for your homepage, if one so chooses, but WP has basically told those bloggers who do not approve of the gay marriage ruling, tough cookies. You WILL march to the beat of our drum.

  I am not happy (and I have nothing against gay marriage!) For me, it’s a matter of principle.

  As mentioned in other threads, the banner is temporary. It will eventually be removed.
