How do I make my banner ad clickable that it takes me to the website related to it.
I have a banner ad for Zelenko, but when click on it only open to a picture of it and doesn’t take me to the website. I contacted someone at the company, but they do not know what to do.

Hey there @rawsomegal, do you mean the one in the widget area?
https://rawsomegal.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.phpYou’ll need to use block widgets now, but I think if you’ll just click the image, you should be able to add a link to it like so:

Thanks supernovia
It is the banner ad on the right hand side on the main page with the picture of the flag and talks about supercharging your immune system.
So I am not clear how to make it clickable to go to the website associated with it, as right now when click on it it just enlarges the photos and taks you to a new page, but is not the websites.
I would need you to give me specific steps because when click on the link that says customize it says to shift-click on the banner, but do not know what that means on my keyboard.
When I open up the widgets in the customize from your link sent me and opens up on the left hand side of the page, I do not know what to do with the banner, as just see the picture and not a link like you are telling me to add – where do I add it?
I added banners that worked a long time ago that worked when clicked on them, but do not remember what I did.
I appreciate all your help with this

Hello there,
So I am not clear how to make it clickable to go to the website associated with it, as right now when click on it it just enlarges the photos and taks you to a new page, but is not the websites.
It looks like the there’s an embed code in use there. You would need to reach out to where the code is being provided in order to change the behaviour of that.
You wouldn’t be able to add a link to that embed block, unless you replace that with an image block and add a link.
I hope that helps.

Thanks Aleone89
The person in charge of the affiliate doesn’t know what to do either, as already contacted them. I may just delete the banner and put the link in the post, because I am not familiar with how to do all that you suggested about adding an image block as opposed to an embed block. This is not my skill set.
Appreciate your effort to try and help -
Hi @rawesomegal, we were able to find more info on this for you. Basically, that type of code will not work here without the Business Plan:
https://wordpress.com/support/monetize-your-site/#advertisingThe business plan gives you the extra security and support needed for sites with extra code. It also gives you access to backups and direct support in case any of the codes cause any trouble with the site. Plus you’d have access to other themes and plugins.
