Banner as hyperlink?
-
Quick question which I couldn’t find an answer to on search…
Is there any way (for a technical dunce) to make the banner image on my blog into a hyperlink? I just recently setup the antics3d.wordpress.com blog and it would be very cool if the banner image linked back to my main web site.
It’s beginning to look like this can’t be done and i’ll have to settle for a link in the blogroll. Any ideas?
Many thanks
Gary

You want your header to link away from your blog? No, I don’t think that can be done, sorry.

One thing you could do which might be better than just a link in the blogroll is to use a text widget. If you have a suitable image that fits in your sidebar, you could put that in the text widget with a hyperlink to your main blog.
<a href="YOUR BLOG URL"><img src="YOUR IMAGE LOCATION"></a> -
Thanks rosclarke, I thought that might be the only option. I’ve been looking at the CSS template but can’t make much of it, so an image in the sidebar it is!

Even with CSS, I don’t think you could achieve what you’re looking for. You can set your banner to be a link to the main blog page, but not to another website.
