Banner on homepage and Show archive drop down menu

    Question 1. Is there a way to put a banner across the top of our blog page. I would like to have the following in the banner for starters: Home, About us, The Boat, Contact Us.

    Question 2 is there a way to always show the dates by month of (or a drop down menu) of archived blogs. the way it is working now is you have to click on a sidebar arrow on the top right side of the blog page. Then the archive drop down menu appears. I would like to have the drop down menu always shown. Thank you for your help.
