Banner/Header Far TOO LARGE
-
How can I get my banner picture to be smaller? I’ve tried many different things. I even tried uploading it to the right dimensions, and it was far too large still. I want it to be smaller so it doesn’t take away from the information on my page. For this page: http://www.eyeofthekat.com
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I’ll be happy to take a look. I viewed your site and it looks like you were able to resolve this.
This is what I can see when viewing your blog:

Can you let me know if you’re all set? If not, can you reply with the file URL to the custom header image you want to use that’s already uploaded in your Media Library?

Hi there,
Your best bet will be to create an image that is less than 920 px wide. It may be helpful for you to determine how high you want the image to be first, keep your proportions constrained, and save to that size. Then you can upload to your media gallery and get going with your new header! You’ll want the total image to be 920 px wide, even if your logo is smaller than that. So you’ll need to get some additional white space in there, to make up the difference. The theme WANTS your header image to use up that entire space, so it will upsize it automatically. To “fool” it, give it an image that is the right dimensions, just make the actual visible pixels take up less room in that image.
Does that make sense? Just let me know if you need any further help!
