Barnes and Noble or Amazon Affiliate Members

    Hi! I’m trying to start a book blog, and I’m concerned about posting pictures of book covers in my posts where I discuss or review a book, because of copyright problems. A few people have said they are members of the affiliate program through Barnes and Noble or Amazon, and that if they post through them the image of the book cover is displayed. But, these are affiliate programs, and users would be able to click on the link in the blog post and go to the Barnes and Noble or Amazon website to purchase the book, and the blogger receives compensation. Is this allowed on WordPress? I’m really just trying to find an acceptable way to post the book cover images without there being any copyright infringement, because a blog with photos is always better.

    1. WordPress.com allows bloggers to insert text affiliate links within post and page content to most third-party affiliate programs, provided they are not the primary content of the site in question.

    2. Image affiliate links in posts and pages and any banners, affiliate links in sidebar or footer widget areas, are still considered to be advertising and are not allowed on WordPress.com blogs.
