Barnett Theme – Inconsistent Personalized Block Footer

    Good afternoon, everyone!

    I’ve noticed in my site, the home-page has a “smashed” footer (the third column of redirects to other pages in the site) is wrapping horribly whereas the same personalized block being used on the “What is this site?” page appears to display as expected/desired. I thought a personalized block would appear the same everywhere and only need to be maintained once. Why do I see an inconsistent experience?

    My apologies if this was already covered, I attempted Googling/searching discussions first and didn’t find this exact issue elsewhere. I appreciate any and all suggestions as I am rather new on this blogging expedition.

    Based on my most recent edit, you can see four columns:

    1. title/tagline
    2. social links
    3. a page listing
    4. a second page listing in a bulleted list

    In my personalized footer, I purposefully added #1, #2, and #4 from the list above. #3 is populating on its own and is undesired.

    Hi there!

    You can expand the width of that footer, by setting the “group” block which contains it to wide- or full-width alignment.

    I would suggest using the “list view” to easily have an overview of the blocks on your page:

    I tend to prefer using the list view to select the block I want to modify. This is the guide for the Group block, including the alignment settings:

    If you would prefer to not have #3 in your footer, I would suggest:

    1. Open the List view, and open the second column of your footer
    2. Find the “Navigation block” there in the list view
    3. Click on the three-dot (ellipsis) button to the right of the Navigation block in the list view
    4. Remove it using the final option at the bottom of the ellipsis menu which opens

    This should let you save the change and remove the additional list of pages that you don’t wish to have.
