Basic email submission spam filters

  Hello Friends,

  I set a simple one-field email form subscription on my website footer. At the moment it can send anything, even a single letter, through it. I would like it to have some simple spam filtering like format control (i.e. stop sending formats other than (email visible only to moderators and staff)) or a checkbox to tick upon subscription, ect.

  Can anyone point me in the right direction?
