Basic Help Needed

    Hi! I hate to ask the most basic of questions but this is what I need help with please:

    First of all the system is not letting me select my blog….it doesn’t show up in the drop down menu.
    MY BLOG is: marionmehrer.com

    1. For some reason I can log into my account, but can’t login to the back end of my blog. Have done this many times but for some reason I can’t find the right place to go into.

    2. Need to know how to edit the top part of my blog (black part) & not have it on the top & not have it be so big.
    -I think I want to have the black part on the right side.

    3. The theme I’m using – I want to make the entire blog background white & have spent a lot of time trying to do this & have worked on changing the colors but can’t see how I can just add a web color.

    According to the URL you posted, your blog is not hosted on WordPress.com, so there is little we can do to assist you with logging in. Logging in to WordPress.com won’t get you access to your self-hosted blog.

    You can contact the person who set up the blog for you originally for more information or assistance with this.

    Otherwise—as mentioned above—you will need to go to the self-hosted support forums at http://wordpress.org/support/ if you need additional assistance.

    2 not paid advertising. You don’t HAVE to do anything. But spreading the word via social platforms was responsible for a 30% increase in my readership. It works.

    1 please do a search of the forum; there are thousands of tips here already on increasing your readership. And in the self-promotion forum people routinely ask for critiques of their blogs to improve them.
