Basic help with link

  I recently made my site public after a decade. I am using a new theme and for the life of me, despite all my reading online about how to do this, I cannot get the one link to go to the correct page – 1966. It keeps defaulting to 1967 despite how many times I have gone and and changed it. Can you help at all?

  No, It still defaults to https://ziaclara.wordpress.com/ with a page that I want listed as 1966 from the menu. I made a Beginnings page as the home page but cannot get the above address to go there. So frustrated.

  As @staartmees mentioned, I also see that the 1966 item in your menu is correctly linking to the 1966 page, as you can see here:
  

  

  However, if I understand correctly, it sounds like you’re trying to set a different page as your homepage, right? Please feel free to correct me if I’m mistaken.

  If that’s the case, you’ll want to go into your reading settings and make sure you’ve selected a static page as your homepage, then choose the page you want to display by following this guide:

  https://wordpress.com/support/reading-settings/

  Once you’ve done that, you’ll also need to edit your Front Page Template to ensure it displays the content of the page you’ve selected. Your theme’s default Front Page Template is currently set to show only the menu you are seeing, but you can add a Content Block to display your page’s content. Here’s a guide to help you with editing your template:

  And don’t forget to add the Content Block to display your page’s content. You can find more information about that block here:
