Basic question

  Ok, so I am very bad with technical aspects of this (and most) sites, so I am sorry if I just failed to understand the FAQ correctly.

  I am currently blogging at spike6196.wordpress.com, and my overall goal is to make spikecp.com the primary site. I purchased the domain name and a year of mapping ($15 total) and now spikecp.com redirects you to the blog, but isn’t the primary URL of the blog. How do I make it so that spikecp.com is the primary site?
  Am I missing something?

  Go into your dashboard. Under upgrades>domains, you should see spike196.wordpress.com and spikecp.com listed. Next to spikecp.com, click on the link “Put blog here”

  That should do it.
