Basic removals!

Hi all, I have zero knowledge on writing css. I would like to remove the comments, dates and left sidebar from my site, but do not know where to start. I have tried deleting the comments bits from the coraline coding, but this appears to do nothing. Please help!

To disable comments, you go to settings > discussion and you can disable them there (disable trackbacks as well). Each existing published post or page will have to have the comments turned off manually. You can do this using the bulk edit feature.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/edit-pages-screen/When doing CSS at wordpress.COM, you aren’t actually “editing” the CSS. You are creating rules to override the like rules in the existing CSS (make sure “add to exising…” is selected before saving).
Also, do NOT paste the entire stylesheet into the CSS edit window as it can have unexpected results. Put on the specific selectors and only the specific declarations that you are changing into the CSS edit window. It makes life much easier in the long run.
The following gets rid of the dates on posts and the “leave a comment” link below the posts.
.entry-meta, .comments-link { display:none; }You apparently have already gotten rid of the left sidebar.
