Baskerville 2

I’m thinking of switching my theme to Baskerville 2. I’m using twenty seventeen at the moment but I’m not crazy about the post view when you click on one of my categories.

I also had a comment on my post that my site was confusing to navigate. I like how Baskerville 2 seems to display all your recent post in a sort of tile layout, however when I try the theme I just get my home page taking up the whole screen?

Can anyone help? Quite new to the WordPress world!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I use BaskerVille-2. It sounds like you need to go to menus in customize and assure the menus are shown on the front page.

I’m having some site-wide memory errors at the moment with this theme I’m trying to work through…. otherwise love the theme

Quick question…I am posting the except version of the blog posts and am trying to get an obvious link to read the rest of the post. How do you get the “Click to continue reading” link to appear at the bottom of a post?

  • @theobedientrebels: If you manually create an excerpt, the Continue Reading text will not appear. If you do not create a manual excerpt, you can go to My Site > Customize > Content Options and toggle the setting from Full post to Post excerpt.

    Customizer: Content Options

This will enable the Continue Reading option.

Alternatively, you can leave the option set to display the full post, and use the More Tag which will still keep a Continue Reading option, but let you customize the text that displays below the post title. If you do this, you will need to use the More Tag on every post.

If you need more help, just open a new thread and we’ll be able to assist you there.
