Baskerville 2 – Insert read more tag does not work.

  I’m using the Baskerville 2 theme and the Insert Read More tag does not work. That is, when I insert the tag, I do not see my post shortened up to the point where the tag had been inserted. I’ve tried using Excerpts which does gives me the desired look except that the “Continue Reading” link does not show up.

  I’m looking for a solution where I see the shortened post and the “Continue Reading” link. Thanks.

  I thought it was. I may be wrong. I’m able to see the “Continue Reading” link without using Excerpts or Insert Read More tag, however I still have the following two issues:
  1. When I use Insert Read More tag, I do not see the post content shortened to the point where I put the Insert Read More tag.

  2. When I use Excerpts, I see the shortened post content but the “Continue Reading” link disappears.

  If you set your Customizer’s Content Options to use automatic post excerpts – like you are now – you shouldn’t also use the More tag, nor add manual excerpts.

  Let me know if that works better for you.
