Baskerville 2- Social Links Menu
-
I use the Baskerville 2 theme and previously had access to a social links menu that would display below the site title at the very top. It looked like the social icons. It’s gone now and I can’t figure out how to access it. I look in Menus and I only have access to the Primary Menu. I look in Widgets and there’s nothing to add a Social Menu. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
The site is annahraecovert.com

Hello!
This should be available to create under Menus. When creating a new menu, do you see the box to set the location to Social Menu like I did here on my test site?: https://snag.gy/s7GK3f.jpg
Some more info on how to finish the setup can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/social-links-menu/
I hope that helps!

Hi there,
annahraecovert.com is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress software found on WordPress.org. You are using the theme Baskerville found at https://wordpress.org/themes/baskerville/ That theme does not have support for a social links menu.
Baskerville-2 is our own version of that theme to which we added support for a social links menu. You can download the self-hosted version of Baskerville-2 at the bottom of the WordPress.com page for that theme, here:

Oh, I see. So my current theme doesn’t support it. What would happen if I switched themes? Would it mess up a lot of the current settings and code?
Also, do you know of any plugins I could use that would allow for social links at the top instead of downloading a brand new theme?
Thank you for your help!!

Typically you have to do some reconfiguration when switching themes, especially with as complex as themes are getting.
There are a number of social menu plugins: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/social+menu/
