Baskerville 2 still has exford home page
-
Hi there
I am trying to create a link in my menu to my homepage so that my blog posts show up on my “blog” page.
However, it seems that the exford theme is somehow active for the home page in my overall baskerville 2 theme and i suspect that is stopping it from functioning properly.
Please help, this is driving me crazy.
TIA

Hi there,
Baskerville doesn’t automatically create a new homepage when you activate it the way our newer themes like Exford does. But you can just edit that existing page and set it up like Baskerville’s demo by following the theme’s instructions, here:
https://wordpress.com/theme/baskerville-2
I see you currently have your site set to display most recent posts on the front page, which is also how the Baskerville 2 demo site is configured, as this theme is primarily designed as a blogging theme, so it doesn’t have a special front page template for use with a static front page.
The Exford homepage still being active on your site cannot in any way prevent Baskerville from working correctly, as it’s just a regular page containing some pre-added content and you can edit or delete it same as any other page and I see you have already deleted it since opening this support thread.
