Baskerville 2 Theme
-
Hi there
I am a total beginner. I’ve spent hours trying to get my site to look like the theme I chose Baskerville 2. It is not happening and it is very frustrating. Why is it not displaying like it is on the demo where I chose this theme?
I thought I would just replace images and type my own text and ad links.Where can I find instructions on this please?
Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @sanelasinikovic,
The page for the theme contains lots of instructions on how to customize the theme: https://wordpress.com/theme/baskerville-2
Can you provide some additional detail on how you want to customize your page? If you provide a list of specific changes you want to make, I’ll try my best to help.
Thanks,

Hi Jenny
Thanks so much for quick response.
I looked at those instructions but it makes no sense to me :(I want my website to look exactly like the theme as displayed on demo.
I need 6 photos in 3 columns/2 rows
Under each photo is a visible text
And I would like them to be different sizes for addedd interest
This is to be on my front landing page so it is easy to navigate from here
When people click on them it will take them to the relevant page
Thanks so much

Hi @sanelasinikovic,
Navigate to your blog tab: https://sanelasinikovic.wordpress.com/blog/. Does that look close to what you’re looking for?
In the Baskerville 2 demo site, the home page is the blog, not a static page. Each of the images on the home page links to a full blog post.
Take a look at this page for an overview of static vs. blog front pages:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/You can set your home page to be a blog by going to My Sites -> Customize (under Personalize) -> Homepage Settings -> selecting Your homepage displays “Your latest posts”
Then you can create blog posts with whatever content you want. This content will be what shows up underneath each image on your home page. Then, set the featured image (the image that will appear on your homepage) using the instructions found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/
When people click on a featured image on the homepage, they will be directed to the full blog post associated with that featured image.
I tested this theme on my account, and it appears to support featured images of different heights. The width of the images, however, is fixed in order to preserve the width of the columns. Does that work for what you are trying to achieve?
Let me know if that helps!
