Baskerville theme – how to preview each post that also includes pics/videos

On my home page (dirtpiles, Baskerville theme), I prefer that each blog have a short preview instead of the full text. However, (and I can’t seem to find the setting now), when I changed it to ‘short preview’, then the pictures and videos within the blog were not visible. Is there a way to have every blog have a short preview but still have pictures and videos visible?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Have you tried using the “Insert Read More” button in the Posts Visual Editor. You’d need to move your images/videos above the majority of the text though before inserting the read more tag. At the moment they are at the middle or bottom of your posts.
