bbPress forum in WordPress?

  I am being advised to set up a group discussion forum (we need subject/topic headings) using wordpress, then installing bbPress as a plug-in.

  I set up a very simple wordpress site, and now I am (trying to follow the bbPress instructions to install the plugin (here: https://codex.bbpress.org/step-by-step-guide-to-setting-up-a-bbpress-forum/) In WordPress, I got only as far as finding the Dashboard link, but nothing mentioned thereafter about “Plugins”.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on any free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

  Plugins are for WordPress.ORG installs. The Codex is for WordPress.ORG installs and you have a WordPress.COM hosted blog so it’s not applicable. The only relevant support docs for WordPress.COM blogs are at http://support.wordpress.COM

  One approach is to register a forum on the internet and then create a custom menu in your blog and include a custom link to the forum in it.
