bbPress pages not showing up on WordPress.com

    I installed bbPress using the “Install Plugins” feature of WordPress.com’s Premium plan. However, when I create a forum in bbPress, I only see a blank screen when I visit the forum page, not even my WordPress theme. Is there an incompatibility between WordPress.com and bbPress, or is there something wrong with my settings?

    bbPress can be tricky on WordPress.com.

    A few things to check:
    Permalinks: bbPress requires pretty permalinks to work properly. Go to Settings → Permalinks and make sure you’re not using “Plain” – try “Post name” instead.


    Theme compatibility: Some themes don’t play well with bbPress. Try switching temporarily to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-Five) to see if the forums display correctly.


    Plugin conflicts: If you have other plugins installed, try disabling them one by one to see if there’s a conflict.


    Staging site: I noticed your site is on wpcomstaging.com bbPress sometimes has issues on staging sites. Does it work on your live site?
