be author without creating new blog

  Hi I’ve been invited to be an author on an existing site and have signed up to wordpress but it won’t let me write anything without creating my own blog. How can I write piece for the blog without creating my own?

  Hi @dwsamuelbrownsword, it looks like you were able to create an account. Do you want to ask the site owner to use this username for the author invite?

  Or, do you want to create another account that’s not associated with this one? If so, from a logged-out window, try this:
  https://wordpress.com/start/account/user

  It’ll say your site will be ready, but it won’t make a site for you.
