Been offered an SEO with WordPress logo–what is it?

  On my Twitter account, I’m suddenly being followed by an SEO, who wants to offer me some kind of a free rating (and behind the letters SEO appears the WordPress logo). What is an SEO, and do I need or want one, and what for? A friend told me “No,” but I’m not so sure. Can you help enlighten me?
