Beep beep boop | stupid new interface when posting new messages

Have you gone out of your mind, starting all new posts with “Beep beep boop” and with an interface that is worse than the previous one?
Please return to the previous interface, that was much clearer and worked much better.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Wait. I’ve been around eight years. I’ve only seen them dump a “new feature” like this twice, but it has been known to happen. It will take another week of complaints, though.

We are as of one mind in this. I haven’t seen a single person saying it’s a good change.

Grateful we can still use the Dashboard editor to write and preview new posts.
The Whee! This Is So Awesome! Editor is simply not an option. : )

Your right this is the second one i remember and they took the other one down.
I have just found this damn thing, why do they do these stupid things, why not try them in .org first.
Messing around when things are going right.
I noticed on the other link and this one, no staff has come on to answer.Come on wordpress get rid of it

You have a year on me @raincoaster! WordPress make changes, and very rarely, that change is not for the better. This would rate as one of their worst efforts ever, at least that I have experienced.
And I don’t remember the others – still in therapy recovering from the last poor effort.

Please remove this childish rubbish. But also a serious question … when I edit an old post, in visual not text mode, all paragraphing and line spacing is gone. Why?

David, if you are seeing what I was, it’s defaulting into “Text” mode instead of “Visual”, so you are seeing the code.
You can start and edit your posts from the Dashboard and skip this nightmare.

Thanks, but no. I am in Visual mode and don’t see code. But spacing and paragraphing is gone.
Also, why when I preview a draft before publishing does it present the editing window to me? This is not a preview!

And indented quotations are suddenly defaulting to italics. Why? Why can’t I decide that for myself?

Plus no matter what I do manually in either mode, my blockquotes appear italicised!!

This is an AWFUL development. Ugly. Unfriendly. A giant step backward for a platform that has otherwise been easy to navigate. AWFUL.

This is how stupid it is at least for me (without even getting to awesome and beep boop) … working in visual editing mode, if I see an italic in the blockquote, it will now show as non-italic to a reader. And if I make it non-italic, it will show as italic to a reader.
And I cannot see a preview unless I go back to the draft in the drafts list. Just clicking preview while editing does not give me a preview.
Are there any CSS changes I can make to correct at least the first of these 2 problems?
