Beep beep bop – hangs. Mac, OSX El Dorado / Safari

  Hi,
  I can no longer create new posts. The editor hangs with a square box saying ‘Beep Beep Boop’ indefinitely.
  I’ve tried to create a new post using the ‘pencil’ icon top right and also the ‘Edit’ option on existing pages – same issue.
  I’m using a new iMac and Safari, patched up to date and running OSX El Dorado, the latest version.

  I’m having this same issue on a Macbook Pro and my iPad. I’m not running the latest OS, but same issues and never had problems before. I too would like to know how to fix this.

  Thanks @timethief, but I did search and unfortunately that isn’t a solution for me. I can post using the WPAdmin dashboard, but the problem is the users who need to post by tomorrow are not all admins on these sites. They should not be able to access the admin dashboard. How can they post?

  Work around worked for me. I just wish this wouldn’t be a problem. I shouldn’t have to go through more steps just to post to my blog.

  To use the classic editor to create posts,
  go to Dashboard > Posts > Add New
  Here is the model so you can see the format
  http://INSERT_NAME_OF_YOUR_BLOG_HERE/wp-admin/post-new.php

  Note that you can bookmark that link.

  To use the classic editor when you edit posts,
  go the Posts -> All Posts menu, hover over the post title and click the Edit link.
