    Hi there,
    This is my first contact with WPcom so I hope you don’t mind me asking probably some obvious questions. I going to launch an e-commerce site for a fashion brand – inside EU – with your business subscription plan and I hope you can clarify some issues i tackle with.

    1. Can you recommend me single configurable products and bundle configurable products themes?
    2. Can I use custom themes? (e.g: https://themeforest.net/item/uncode-creative-multiuse-wordpress-theme/13373220)
    3. Is there WooCommerce pre setup available?
    4. Is WPcom with installed WooCommerce GDPR compliant and where collected data is stored, are wordpress servers located inside EU?
    5. Are there any additional fees for selling items using WPcom + WC ecommerce?
    6. Will, you offer ‘Black Friday’ discounts for a business plan subscription?

    Hi @egofreestyler, sorry for the slow response — your question was posted three times in a row and somehow got stuck in a spam filter. We found it though :)

    1. Can you recommend me single configurable products and bundle configurable products themes?

    For very specific use cases, sure. WordPress is used in so many different ways, there’s no one-size-fits all bundle, but if you’ll let us know what you’re trying to do we can likely let you know what’s worked well for others.

    We do also have an e-commerce plan that comes bundled with some common paid extensions, themes, and gateway plugins. I’d recommend just buying the Business plan, and then getting in touch with support to see if you’ll be fine with just the Business Plan or whether it would make sense for you to upgrade. If you’ve already got an outside theme in mind, for example, you might not want an upgrade that includes more bundled themes. Does that make sense?

    2. Can I use custom themes?

    With a Business Plan, yes.

    3. Is there WooCommerce pre setup available?

    Kindof … for a simple store you can use this:

    But even if you have to install WooCommerce for customization, the installation goes quick and easy on a Business Plan. You’ll get a setup wizard that asks the most pertinent questions for getting your store up and running.

    And you’ll also get two 1:1 concierge sessions where support can work with you to solve any other questions you have, in addition to 24/7 chat support.

    4. Is WPcom with installed WooCommerce GDPR compliant and where collected data is stored, are wordpress servers located inside EU?

    GDPR is as much about what a site owner does than about the software itself, but our software has everything you need to be GDPR compliant. We have more info here:

    5. Are there any additional fees for selling items using WPcom + WC ecommerce?

    Most payment processors have some sort of fee (a percent, a percent plus a minimum fee, etc), so you’ll want to pick the best one for your situation. But as for WordPress and WooCommerce itself, we don’t have extra fees for selling things.

    You will also likely need to pay some shipping fees if you’re selling physical products.

    6. Will, you offer ‘Black Friday’ discounts for a business plan subscription?
