  Before I proceed further – is a wordpress site easy to create with little to no web design experience? Or, once I subscribe am I going to find it’s much more than dragging and dropping and adding this and that via a control panel to create a high quality website? Thanks.

  I’m going to give you the short answer.

  Like anything new there is a learning curve involved but there are many help resources available to you on WordPressdotcom, including the forums. Much depends on what you want to create and the complexity of the theme you’ve chosen.

  You’re welcome. If you’d rather spend some time testing things out without your site being visible to the public and search engines, you can change your site’s privacy settings to Private.
