Before upgrading my account

I currently have a premium website through WIX and I regret it. I hate that I couldn’t ask certain questions before paying $400 for a website and now I’m stuck in it. Although I won’t be speaking to a direct representative on here either. I just wanted to know a few things before I book.
    1. I am a hairstylist and would like to give my customers the option to book add on services to their appointments. So for example, if they book a particular style and want to add a la carte things like a deep condition and trim in ADDITION to their original service, I want them to be able to do that. Is that an option on here?
    2. If I get a no call no show, is there a way to block someone from booking with me again?

I chose to create a website rather than use a booking app because I eventually would like to add an online store to my website where my customers can buy hair products, and I won’t be able to do that on a booking app.

  • Hi there,

Although I won’t be speaking to a direct representative on here either. I just wanted to know a few things before I book.

That is not entirely true, but it depends on your upgrade. Free sites use our public support forums here, but we have a team of staff dedicated to helping here. If you upgrade to our Premium plan (or higher) you would have access to live chat so you can ask any questions you have to a live agent.

That is not something we have built in, but there are “plugins” you can add to your site that will give it the ability to do scheduling on the site. To upload plugins will require our Business Plan however, so if that is not in your budget I like to recommend Square Appointments, which is not something you add to your site directly, but from your site if someone wants to book with you they can do that by clicking a link (or button) you add to your site, and they book the appointment on the Square website. My dentist used to have this on their website, and as a user I really liked it and thought it worked well!

That I am unsure of. It seems that it’d be difficult to do that but we’re not exactly expert in the scheduling software piece of the equation, since it is not something we create in-house. I think you could check with Square (if you decide to use their service) and see if they offer that. Some “scheduling plugins” for WordPress may also offer that option, but it’d take some research to determine for sure.

I think that makes a lot of sense actually. The site can be your home base, and then you can add functionality on top of that. We do offer some light ecommerce options for selling product online, but you would need our Premium plan for that, which may be a good bet since it also gets you live chat access.

Here are your ecommerce options under the Premium plan:

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
