Beginner – Please help with Basic Questions

    I am a legit beginner. Can someone please help educate me on how to start a simple blog on WordPress that also has the option down the road of being able to sell e-books and digital audio?

    I am in Canada so I need a .ca and .com, but my main one will be .ca

    My goal is to be able to simply blog, and down the road be able to sell some digital products. I am scared of security, and scared of the fact that I have NO knowledge of coding etc. WordPress seems complicated, but I’ve heard it’s the “best”

    Please help :)

    Starting a WordPress.com blog is simple. All you need is to sign up on WordPress.com and get started. Here are the support pages for the same:

    A WordPress.com blog can run on these 4 plans: Free, Personal, Premium, and Business.

    You get a custom domain of your choice (if it is available) if you purchase Personal/Premium/Business plan. In Free plan, your blog address will be on sub-domain like this: example.wordpress.com

    If you have a WordPress.com site, you shouldn’t worry about its security. It is the responsibility of Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com. Also, if you purchase either of the plans, you get live chat support from the Happiness Engineers working in Automattic.

    The knowledge of coding is also not important in WordPress.com site. All you should know is the use of WordPress.com. Moreover, if you are new to WordPress.com you can look for the help on either of the below:
