beginner question

I have a website done in WP and am dissatisfied with the theme chosen for me. I found one I’d like to purchase IF I can get some answers; no luck so far.
On the WP help site under “preview themes” it says “go to Appearance -> Themes and click the Preview button under any theme.” I have searched the new theme I like (Axon) in vain for any “appearance” option; On my own website, when I click “appearance” and then “Themes” I find no Preview button anywhere.
I’m sure they write for pro’s, but maybe some clear instructions for new folks would be useful.

You’re asking in the wrong forum. You do not have a WordPress.COM blog, it seems, but a WordPress.ORG website. You need to be in their forums for help with that, and their theme procedure is quite different from ours.

OK thanks; even more confusing than I thought. Any clue on how I get to that? Is it a different company? Will my username and password work there?

your username and password will not work at WordPress.ORG – but you can register the same name at WordPress.ORG if nobody else is using it

One last question then I won’t bother you. I tried to register on their site but am unable to read (let alone reproduce) the ridiculous scramble of nonsense required to prove I am not a robot. Is there no other way to contact them as there is no option on the site?
