Beginner troubleshooting advice

Hi, I am at a beginner level/experience using wordpress and have encountered a few (basic) problems I can’t find advice on how to fix:
1. I am now using the block editor. How can I change the size/font and colour of text for a specific block, or overall for a specific post? I only see how to change it using ‘customise’, ‘fonts’, which changes the font for the whole webpage.
2. I have set a colour background (through ‘customise’, ‘colours and backgrounds), but the background colour affects some imported images which have white backgrounds (image background becomes blue). Why is this happening (other images aren’t affected) and how do I fix it?
3. I like the column block feature but am having trouble using it. Some support from WordPress stated you can change no of columns by then clicking ‘block’ in the right side bar but it doesn’t work for me- how can I add and remove colums in a column block? And also how can I delete the column block entirely if I decide I don’t want it?

let me try to answer all your questions:

When adding a paragraph block, you’ll see on the right sidebar settings specific to that block. There you will be able to change the font size and color:

how can I add and remove colums in a column block? And also how can I delete the column block entirely if I decide I don’t want it?
When creating a columns block, again, on the right sidebar, you will see
the block settings and this is where you would be able to change the number of columns.
You will also notice that now, apart from the general columns block, you will also have space for blocks to add to each column. You will need to click on the general block to see its settings or remove it.This tutorial should help you to learn more about the Block Editor and how to use it:
